What is gomoney's virtual card? 💳

gomoney offers the unique feature of a virtual card that can be used to pay for online subscriptions like Netflix, make international transactions (for those Amazon shopping sprees 😉), and even be attached to your Bolt and Uber accounts. As the card is digital, you can avoid the stress associated with searching for or losing physical cards. Tap on “cards” on the top left corner of your gomoney homepage to begin.

Set up a virtual card

We're excited for you to try this out!
To create your card:
• Go to the home page of your gomoney app and tap on cards
• Once there you can create your card by clicking on the 'Get a virtual card' option.
• You will be prompted to choose a PIN for your card and voila, you can start spending instantly! 😊

If you're unable to create a virtual card:
Please ensure that your BVN is linked to your gomoney account and try creating a card again. If the problem persists, send us a message via the live chat by tapping on “Settings” at the bottom right of the gomoney home page, then on “Help & Support” to chat with a human. One of our team members should be able to help you resolve the issue.

If you're having issues paying with your card:

Resetting your card pin:
Unfortunately, you can't do this for now. If you're worried that your card has been compromised, you can block it and request for another. See how to do this under 'How do I view the details of my virtual card, freeze or block my card?'

To view your card details, freeze or block your card, simply:
• Open the homepage of the gomoney app tap on card.
• Swipe to see your virtual card and other actions used to mange your account. They include; reveal details 👁️, freeze ❄️ and block 🔒.
• Select the appropriate option and input your PIN to proceed.

Virtual card fees:
• Your first virtual card is FREE. However, all subsequent virtual cards will incur a fee of N850.

What do I do if I think my virtual card may be compromised?

If you think your virtual card may be compromised, please freeze or block your card in the app immediately.
To do this:
• Open the homepage of the gomoney app and swipe right to the second section of the homepage.
• Here you will see your virtual card and 3 possible actions listed below it: reveal details 👁️, freeze ❄️, and block 🔒.
• Select the relevant option and input your PIN to proceed.

How does the gomoney physical card work?

Your gomoney physical card works like every other debit card. You can make POS* payments, withdraw from ATMs and pay for goods and services online. But it gets better, with gomoney’s enriched transactions, you get to understand how, when, and where you made payments with your physical card. You will always receive notifications tailored to your transactions, so you can track your spending and also feel more secure. Tap on “cards” on the top left corner of your gomoney homepage to begin.

Set up a physical card

Requesting your physical card is entirely virtual and easy:
• Once you open your gomoney app, tap on cards and select create physical cards. Click on 'Get a Standard Card' just beneath the page.
• Once you have successfully requested your card you'll receive a pop-up message showing you the date your card would be delivered. You can always revisit the physical card page to remind yourself of the delivery date.

Activating your card is virtual, easy and stress-free that's our thing:
• Open your app
• Select 'Activate my card' and enter your 16 digit card number (it's at the back of your card)
• Enter your card PIN
